And even though some were finally ripe, it was taking me a while to get out there to harvest. “Pick me, pick me!” their chubby selves would have chanted if they had mouths. It was a wet day when I finally found the time. I donned my yellow slicker and braved the elements dropping glistening tomatoes into my collection bags. Sometimes I feel like I'm in a perpetual holding pattern while everyone else around me is moving ahead at warp speed. The hardest part is not the waiting, it's the not knowing what I'm waiting for. It's a sense of anticipation that never seems to get satisfied...maddening! 9/24/2012 05:22:51 am

Ha! They need to be personal, Richard. You know that! So glad to have you reading - it is an honor. 9/24/2012 04:23:56 am
You're right, waiting is far from easy. What helps me is to ask God what I should do NOW and do it. Sometimes I don't have to ask. It's in my face and must be done. Other times God helps me prioritize my to-dos. Then I thank him that he's in control and "my times are (future is) in (his) hands" (Ps. 31:15) 9/24/2012 05:21:09 am
Great points, Naomi. God has given you the gift of patience and trust. Thanks for sharing it with us.
