![]() It may be just a tad early for some plants, but I am desperate to start my seeds indoors. This winter’s been the longest yet it seems, and at the end of March, I still could only count the signs of spring on one hand. Christian growth is vitally important. More important though is the discipleship process. The majority of new believers if not part of a discipleship process will fall away within 3 months. It is not enough to introduce someone to Jesus. We need to help them become best friends. We need to ask ourselves, "When was the last time we really invested in a new believers life?" We do not have to be the person who introduced them to Jesus. We do need to make sure every new believer in our church, small group or other sphere of influence is given the opportunity to receive discipleship. Collectively we need to ask, when is it my turn? Wow, Ted. What an insightful comment. Thanks for bringing this up. I can't begin to count how many people were influential in my Christian growth. They took the time to mentor me. Yes, let's be more than available to help others in their journey.
This article deals with one of my current struggles... Growing up. Yes, yes, I know I'm 66 years old, but in many ways I'm still a child. This week I surprisingly made the decision... I told God that I really DO want to grow up, and I asked Him for His help. Of course, He was with me all along, gently nudging me to make this decision, the choice, to grow up. . This article ends with some scriptures, the final one truly expresses my heart's desire. Here it is from the Amplified Version of The Bible (my friend calls it "The Loud Bible): Comments are closed.
