The woman liked church. There was something special about being within the four walls of its fellowship. At church, there were friendly people who accepted her for who she was, there were plenty of social opportunities, and there was that general feeling that came when you fulfilled your duty. She was going to church after all. But there was one thing that the woman really didn’t get. And that was a growing intimacy with Jesus. Heck, she wasn’t so sure about him at all. Great post, Debra. I worked at my church for 6 years and was amazed to see people attend church for years with absolutely no change in their behavior - no growth, no excitement about being a child of God. Sometimes I think these are the hardest people to reach. 1/1/2013 09:04:26 am
Well said, Jan. Thanks for your comment. Many don't want to face the fact that all are not going to heaven, whether they are in the church or not. Prayer is so needed for hearts to receive the truth of the gospel. Comments are closed.
