My friend Diane is an avid gardener with a special passion for flowers. Her knowledge of her beautiful botanicals never ceases to amaze me. And I’ll bet she could beat a botanist hands down in her ever widening understanding of blooming trends and plant health. She’s even a whiz at memorizing the Latin names of all her plants. For the past three springs now, Diane has filled my own flower gardens with new growth starts from her own plants. When something in her garden isn’t producing well, or gets out of control, Diane grabs her trusty spade and gets to work. The result? Lots of interesting, new plants for me! Many of them are species I haven’t even seen before. Last Sunday after church, Diane and I were talking flowers when she told me about some new varieties of echinacea that she had ordered. From there, she shared an interesting story about some of her existing plants that got me thinking about life. Click here to read more ...

This is so well stated! It confirms why my life has looked as it has... ;) The latest is a move forty miles away and selling our home of 29 years, going back to college and earning a degree with certification in education so 'changing careers' as well, moving INTO a trailer (which we have to have one of us stand still while the other moves past-especially in th hallways) while we build our next home. God certainly is teaching me contentment 'no matter what'! I LOVE living out of my comfort zone (I'm one of those very unusual people, I suppose) but I keep kidding that God is really pushing it this time. The only thing that stayed the same is my husband of 32+ yrs. But LIFE IS GOOD. I think I am learning to ONLY trust in God...and isn't that the point?? Anyway- great article...kinda felt my spirit saying "yeah...yeah...yeah..." as I read! Bless God!

Oh yeah. Just recently signed a book contract. Now I am in the process of all the marketing...My mind is exploding with all the new things I am learning and I'm having to stretch to share myself in a more "public" fashion (blogging-soon to launch, even leaving a comment on someone else's blog-LOL- FB fanpage-who me?). I do appreciate your blogs - they are an encouragement. Blessings! 3/17/2012 09:04:15 am
Wow Angela! Big stuff! I'm excited for you. Let me know if I can help. I've got some info that can help you launch your fan page - easy cheesy. You can do this -- and bloom!!! (Thanks for reading and commenting.) Your blog comments are like the cherry on top! 3/17/2012 04:02:29 am
So glad you enjoyed this post. I loved writing this one, and it was so amazing how it just "fit" together with two of my friends saying the exact same things! Wow! It does seem like God is "stirring the soup" a bit in your life ... like your attitude - that's key really isn't it? Get ready to bloom! Comments are closed.
